Oh and I’m putting this in horses cause I don’t know where to put it, and this is for my riding boots.

I used to use quite a lot of Snowseal until I found what I thought to be a better product. Snowseal does waterproof quite well but is highly waxy and leaves a sticky waxy buildup on your boot. It gets rather gummy over time. I like the Australian Leather Seal better as it has natural oils and beeswax. It does not have the problem with buildup and does smell really great.
