Beeswax Scented Candles

The Best Candles: Are Soy Candles the Best Scented Candles?
Which are the best candles to use? Are soy candles the best scented candles? Creators of scented candles use different types of wax to create their candles.. Soy wax is retrieved from environment friendly soybeans, while beeswax is extracted from beehives and paraffin wax is a by-product of petroleum refineries. Which raw material produces the best smelling candles? Of all of these choices, which should I choose? The answers to these questions really depend upon your own preferences and the type of usage.
The majority people believe that the best candles are the organic candles. Manufacturers have also promoted this thinking to sell more soy candles especially the myth that soy candles do not produce any soot. The fact is that there cannot be a soot-free candle because all organic compounds emit some soot when burned due to lack of total combustion. However it is true that soy candles do not emit the thick black soot like candles made of paraffin wax.
If your usage is typically at home, to create a scented ambiance, it is best to use soy candles. If you happen to knock it over by mistake, soy wax is very easy to clean. Moreover container candles using soy wax tend to burn longer than paraffin wax candles.
Some of the artificially scented candles are too scented causing them to be irritants rather than a pleasant experience. This is especially true if you are hosting a party and you have guests who cannot stand strong smells. The safe option here is to have handmade candles which are made of natural wax like the beeswax or soy wax because they get their scents from essential oils of natural substances. Fine perfumes and fragrances are made of these materials and so candles made of such natural substances will be the best smelling candles. This will ensure that there is no irritation or other side effects such as those caused by artificially scented candles.
So which candles are the best candles for you? Which are the best scented candles – soy candles, bees wax candles or paraffin wax candles? Ultimately it depends upon your individual choice based on your requirements and values as to what is good for you and your family. In my humble opinion, you are better off going with soy wax candles. They promote a healthy planet. In this day and age it is important that we do everything that we can in order to make sure that we keep our planet safe. Purchasing an organic candle over a parrafin wax candle will make a small difference in the long term.

Cone candling of one form or another, has been performed since ancient times ranging from Tibet, Egypt, and all the way to North and South America. The first cone candle was made by Tibetans along the Tigris River thousands of years ago. The candle maker dried a reed, placed one side of the hollow cylinder in his ear and ignited the other end. This was the beginning of the art of candling. Soon Tibetans, Egyptians, Mayans and American indians were using cone candles with great results. Today, more people than eer before are using ear cone candles to clean debris from their ears. Ear cone candling is based on Burnelli''s Law of Airflow, which states that when a hollow cylinder (cone candle) is heated, air will be drawn into the cylinder at an increased rate and forced out of the cylinder with greater force. Thus, any loose material within the cylinder would be forced toward the exit point of the cylinder. Ear cone candling creates a gentle vacuum, painlessly pulling debris from the ear. What to look for in a cone There are hundreds of cone candles to choose from, make in a variety of materials, shapes, and sizes. So how do you choose a quality ear cone? First, look to see if the cone candle is cylindrical. If a cone candles is very large at one end and very small at the other end, it reduces effectiveness. most reputable companies use a cone with a 7/8'' end tapering down to 3/8''. Second, look for a cone candle that''s labeled with clear instructions for how to use it. According to cone candle manufacturers, the art of candling has been used safely for thousands of years; even so, it''s very important to read and follow directions carefully. Instructions for Use Have all your items close to the person. Find a comfortable place for the person being candled to lie down, making sure all items are easily accessible. Have the person lie on one side with ear opening level. Place the ear cover cloth, or protector, over the area being candled and cover hair and skin as completely as possible. Insert the small end of the candle snugly into the ear, so no vacuum will escape. You must create a seal. Once this has been done, the assistant can light the candle. Help the assistant adjust the candle to where it feels most comfortable, insuring that no air leak is coming from the ear opening. Important: |

Wally's Natural's 100% Beeswax Ear Candles 12Pks $36.99 Wally's Ear Candles 100% Beeswax Family Pack Description: ? Pure Natural Beeswax Ear Candles - All Natural, Smell Sweet - with No Oils, Fragrances or Additives. ? Ear Candles Provide a Safe and Effective Way to Clear Ear Canals of Wax Build-up. A traditional practice used for centuries, ear candling (also called coning) consists of placing a hollow cylinder coated with wax at the opening of the ear canal and lighting the other end to allow warm smoke to enter the ear. Those who use ear candles claim the warm smoke that the candle delivers to the ear canal is soothing. They say the process is relaxing and often results in a sense of clarity after candling. Ingredients: Unbleached Cotton Muslin Directions: Always have an assistant perform the process. Use fresh supplies and work in a clean area. Use common sense around fire. Do not insert sharp objects or push anything into the ears. If anything falls into the ear, stop the procedure and tilt the head to let the material fall out. You can also flush clean water into the ear to rinse out any of this material. Following these suggestions will help prevent any injury or harm to the ear. Procedure: Use damp towels or Wally's Head & Shoulder Cover to cover the hair, face and clothing. The person should sit up during the process. Use an aluminum pie pan with hole for candle, angling the candle about 10 degrees upward. Light candle, and let smoke and warmth soothe the ear. As candle burns, cut off the ash into a bowl of water. During the procedure, you may massage the face in the areas of the sinuses (around the cheek, nose and eye) and along the side of the person's neck. When candle burns to about 4 in length, carefully remove it from the ear and extinguish the candle in the bowl of water. Warnings: This product should not be used to treat any infection of the inner or outer ear. If you have a serious ear disease, tubes in your ears, eardrum damage or an upper respiratory infection, consult a physician before you attempt this process. |
