Top 10 Tips for Car Waxing

There are many natural factors that contribute to deterioration of car paint. Factors like rain water, wind, bird droppings, and insect fluids have a damaging affect on car paint. It also helps deliver a new, fresh, and impressive look to your car.

 

If car waxing is done on a periodic basis, even a 10 year old car look as a completely new car with a gleaming and attractive look. Waxing should ideally be done once in every three months. It also plays a vital role in car maintenance and enhances the resale value of the car.

 

Read below the top 10 tips for car waxing:

 

1. Wash your car well and dry it completely using a soft cotton cloth. After that use car wax. If the car is not well washed or dried, you wont get the desired shine.

 

2. There are many types of car wax available in the market today. Some are very effective and some contain abrasives that may have a damaging affect on the car paint. So, it’s very important to choose the perfect type of car wax.

 

3. Always park your car under shade while waxing. Garage is the best possible place for car waxing.

 

4. Then dip the damp wax sponge into the car wax and apply gently on the car. Apply wax in a circular motion to have a smooth and levelled affect. If in case you find any kind of lodging on the car paint, wipe it out using a soft terry cloth or an old toothbrush.

 

5. If using a liquid car wax, make sure that you shake the bottle well before use or else you will get chumps of the car paint.

 

6.While waxing, don’t touch car surfaces like windows, glass, door trims, and rubber trims. Wax may leave stains there which would be difficult to remove.

 

7. Apply on one section of the car and then cover the car surface. Once done, smoothly and gently remove the coated wax from the surface. Start removing it from the area where you started.

 

8. Then, clean and wipe out the remaining wax from the car surface using a soft terry cloth. You can also make use of the window spray cleaner to completely wipe out wax from the car’s surface.

 

9. If you plan to use the same cloths and fabrics for waxing your car the next time, make sure that you clean all using a liquid fabric cleaner. This keeps them soft and avoid scratching on the car paint when used the next time.

 

10. Wax your car regularly, at least once in three months. This would deliver a fresh and new look to your years old used car.
